As you can see, this is a long overdue post. Had I been diligent, it would have been up on the 17th of January.
Anyway, Commes Des Garcon guerilla has (re)opened. after the previous one at bukit merah is closed.
This time at a more accessible place at Mount Sophia, which is a short walk away from The Cathay. Just up the road beside peace centre.
Haven't been there yet. So far the biggest setting had been at the querilla store at Chinatown. Haji lane was smaller and bukit merah's store bordered on tiny with low ceilings (or you can say seemingly lower ceiling with a platformed flooring.) Pretty suffocating to say the least- pretty turn off esp since the price wasn't really attractive. the small leather goods from an older season cost about the same as the current season ones you could get from Pedder Red. Surprise surprise! Hopefully, this project at Mount Sophia will be an eye opener.
Any foreigners trying to find the store can try taking the train to dhoby ghaut train station and walk towards The Grand Cathay and then further down to Peace Centre.Then up the slope to Mount Sophia. Happy trekking, guerillas!
